The eastbound Trans-Canada Highway lanes, between Old Banff Coach Road S.W. and Valley Ridge Boulevard N.W., have been shifted north onto the new detour. This detour will be in place until the new eastbound lanes are constructed.
On the morning of Saturday, May 7, 2022, the exit ramp from eastbound Trans-Canada Highway to Bowfort Road N.W. / Canada Olympic Drive S.W. will be closed and traffic will be detoured just east of the current exit. Overnight lane closures on Stoney Trail from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. continue this week to move equipment from the north side of the river to the south side. Stoney Trail will be reduced to one lane in both directions each night until Saturday, May 7, 2022.
This Thursday, May 5, 2022, westbound 17 Avenue S.W. traffic will be reduced to one lane east of 93 Street S.W. / Cortina Drive S.W. (weather permitting). 17 Avenue S.W. will continue to have one lane in each direction west of 93 Street S.W. / Cortina Drive S.W. until the new bridge opens this summer.
