Pile Driving for Highway 8 Interchange Bridges

Pile driving for the future Highway 8 and Stoney Trail interchange has begun and is expected to continue until January 2022. Pile driving involves a pneumatic (air) hammer striking steel piles, which creates a repetitive pinging or hammering sound. Adjacent residents can expect increased noise and may feel some vibrations while piling is ongoing.

Trans-Canada Highway Traffic Stoppage

At 8 a.m. on Sunday, November 7, the Trans-Canada Highway will be closed just west of Valley Ridge Boulevard N.W. for about five minutes. Traffic will be stopped in both directions to allow utility crews to pull cable across the road. Some traffic delays can be expected but will clear up quickly.
