What’s Happening in Traffic This Week

October 17: Left Lane Closed on Westbound Trans-Canada Highway

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022, the median (left) lane on westbound Trans-Canada Highway will be closed approaching Old Banff Coach Road S.W.

October 17-19: Single Lane of Alternating Traffic on Crestmont Boulevard S.W.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, starting Monday, October 17 and ending Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Crestmont Boulevard S.W. will operate as a single lane of alternating traffic controlled by a flag person.

Trans-Canada Highway / Stoney Trail Interchange

The warm weather is allowing earthwork on the Trans-Canada Highway / Stoney Trail interchange to continue.

Eastbound Highway 8

Approximately 2,000 cubic metres of fill was placed last fall for the eastbound lanes and allowed to settle. Now, additional fill is being placed and compacted to form a strong foundation for the pavement structure.
