What’s Happening in Traffic This Week
Overnight Detour: Eastbound Trans-Canada Highway to Northbound Stoney Trail
Tonight and tomorrow night (February 22 and 23), between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ramp from eastbound Trans-Canada Highway to northbound Stoney Trail will be closed for bridge girder installations. Traffic will be detoured to the Bowfort Road N.W. interchange.
Four girders will be installed on the south span of this bridge, each 54 metres long and 2.4 metres high

South of the ‘TCH’
There’s lots of activity happening on the Stoney Trail interchange, south of the Trans-Canada Highway.

Each of the four girders is 36 metres long, two metres high and weighs 128,000 pounds

The polar vortex slowed us down for a bit, but we’re back at it (gravel excavation, that is) and spring is just around the corner!
